Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Programs
The International Studies Program is structured to give students a foundation in a single discipline while also allowing them room to explore different approaches. It offers students the chance to gain familiarity with a particular region of the world and develop proficiency in a foreign language.
ISP majors choose to focus their studies on one of nine disciplinary tracks. All majors, regardless of their chosen track, complete three required gateway courses that introduce students to the curriculum's interdisciplinary approach. These courses focus on developing analytical reading and writing skills, understanding modern cultural and social development, and examining domestic and international sources of economic and political change.
ISP majors are also required to take three interdisciplinary electives from departments outside of their chosen track and complete regional studies and language requirements.
